OrigamiUSA organizes and manages the largest origami convention in the world: the OrigamiUSA Annual Convention, which takes place each year in New York City, usually the last full weekend in June. In addition, we create and manage other regional and special-purpose conventions less often; see below for details.

Our next convention will be the OrigamiUSA Annual Convention, which will be held at the end of June, 2009 at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City (27th St. between 7th and 8th Avenues). Watch this space for further information.

PCOC and Regional Conventions

In recent years, we have begun to hold secondary conventions in other parts of the country. The Pacific Coast OrigamiUSA Convention (PCOC) has been held at various locations along the West Coast of North America in concert with a local organizing group in the host city. PCOC takes place in odd-numbered years in the fall. Upcoming PCOCs are as follows:

  • PCOC 2009 -- San Francisco, CA. Watch this space for further information.

Special Conventions

OrigamiUSA has sponsored several conventions in the past on an irregular basis: the Conference on Origami in Education and Teaching (COET) and the 3rd and 4th International Conferences on Origami in Science, Mathematics, and Education. If you are interested in organizing such a conference, please contact the Convention Committee.
